SIMBA Chain Becomes Newest Member of Hyperledger

Hyperledger is an open-source community that is focused on developing a suite of frameworks, tools, and libraries for enterprise-grade blockchain deployments to advance cross-industry blockchain technology. It is a global collaboration which includes leaders in finance, banking, healthcare, supply chains, manufacturing, and technology.

In early September 2020, Hyperledger announced that Smart Contracts as a Service (SCaaS) innovators SIMBA Chain and seven other organizations had joined as members of the Linux Foundation.

SIMBA CEO Joel Neidig said, “We are excited to join Hyperledger, a premier development framework for enterprise blockchain solutions, and be part of a community comprising so many premier organizations exploring collaborative models for blockchain technologies.”

Neidig continued “SIMBA’s roots go back to one of DARPA’s [Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency] first blockchain contracts, so we have a long-standing focus on working with small and large enterprises, governments and other organizations to bring practical use-cases to full realization. With our platform’s recent support for Hyperledger, we believe now is a great time to join and help bring the community forward.”

SIMBA’s Vice President of Market Development Anjon Roy says of the partnership, “Hyperledger is a premier community for enterprises and organizations to collaborate. We see more inter-operability on our horizons, and SIMBA’s cross-chain capabilities and our constant push for innovations like our latest releases makes this the opportune time to join in with Hyperledger’s flourishing community.”

Roy continued, “SIMBA has been working with Hyperledger’s platform for a while now, but being an official part of their community will benefit our clients as we continue our mission to simplify all blockchains—this gives our clients all the options available to them so they can choose the provider which suits them best. Working with Hyperledger improves how we manage complex enterprise use-cases like smart contracts in a truly tangible way.”

Hyperledger launched in 2016 with a technical governance structure and 30 founding corporate members. While their Technical Steering Committee began with just two business blockchain framework, Hyperledger is now recognized as the fastest growing open source organization and SIMBA Chain is proud to be part of this growing community.
