The United States Air Force (USAF) has chosen SIMBA Chain as the blockchain provider to secure its supply chain. SIMBA’s technology will be used on the battlefield and at home.

The USAF has a couple main goals it is trying to achieve with blockchain:

• Make its data more tamper-proof
• Secret 3D printing plans transmission

The goal is to decentralize parts of manufacturing on the battlefield while maintaining data integrity. “Repairs to vehicles can’t be tampered with by a third party, as top-secret 3D printing plans could be transmitted to forward forces without unwanted surveillance.”
